Well, well, well.

Here we are.

I finally read this book anddddd it was NOT was i expected.

Seeing the 2-star rating, it is needless to say that i am a bit underwhelmed by this book.

And idk whom to blame. Me ? the hype ? the book ?

Now, I try to not expect things from a book no matter how huge the hype is because I get disappointed. This book is said to be one of the BEST book written by Agatha Christie and I felt embarrassed every time I introduced myself a mystery-thriller lover and the proceeded to tell that i haven't read any of Agatha Christie's books.

I had started this book at least 4 times but always stopped after one chapter because..... idek. I guess it was the writing, which didn't suit me and the fact that there were SO many characters. I literally had to go to the first page again and again to see who was this person talking.

Then, i found it in library and thought- This. Is. It. I HAVE to read this book otherwise I have to live my whole life in shame.

And then I read it.

I think me not liking this book has something to do with SO many people saying its too good and the twist was mind-blowing and they could never see it coming etc. etc.

This kind of led me to put this book at a high pedestal in my mind and when i actually read it, i was disappointed.

Because the whole who-did-it thing and its reason, could have been used for anyone, literally.

[ Yes, i know that the person who did it was the only one who made the right decision of passing a verdict but still it didn't feel like a good reason enough. The real killer was some sort of vigilante ??? Might as well have used the reason of ghosts. ]

I, too, am disappointed that i didn't like the book because I thought that reading this would give me the mystery-euphoria.

Soooo yea. That was it. My 2nd unpopular opinion till now. (first one was The Maidens)
